Known by the name Ali Ufkî in our cultural history, Albert Bobowski was an important name in Ottoman state history with his political assignments. He was also regarded as one of the prominent resources of Ottoman-Turkish music with his personality as a man of music and arts. As 2010 is the 400th anniversary of his birth, an important opportunity prevails for mentioning his name in international platforms of art and science.
It is a particularly important for Turkish science ad art circles to open up to international platform as Ali Ufkî's scientific and artistic activities will be focused on in an international scale, and by a wide scope of events in 2010 at his 400th anniversary will serve his remembrance. The project will also help discover the early Ottoman music with references to its differences from the music of 18th and 19t centuries.
The project will include concerts, publishing of a book endorsed by a CD, and a panel to be arranged with participation of Ali Ufki experts to be invited from the circles of science and art.
