Urban Projects Directorate performs a facilitating function for carrying out urban projects and restoration work for preservation of cultural heritage, where the energy and experience of actors who have a say in city management are combined, in order to help them realize their projects through cooperation.

Prince Imaret Restoration The imaret comprised of a kitchen, dining hall, warehouse and pantry is situated in the south corner of the Prince Complex which was built in mid-16th century, devoted to Prince Mehmet whom Suleyman the Magnificent had wished as his a successor.

Hagia Sophia Museum Implementation Works This project includes documenting and restoration works of the I. Mahmud Library and I. Mahmud Fountain.

Kariye Museum Project Works This restoration project of the Chora Monastery aims at archiving and restoring the building in line with its original structure.

Otag-ı Hümayun building restoration "Otag-ı Humayun Building" is a classical Ottoman architectural monument in Davutpaşa Campus of Yildiz Technical University.

Revitalizing Built Environments: Requalifying Old Places For New Uses The fourth of the international “Culture and Space Symposium Series” organized by the IAPS – CSBE (Culture and Space in the Built Environment) Network and the IAPS-Housing Network will be held in Istanbul on 12-16 October 2009.
