Realized by the Semaver Kumpanya within the scope of Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture events on 26-31 March 2010, the CRAZY ART festival will feature theatre shows, exhibitions, plastic arts and motion workshops, dance, music and percussion shows on a platform where handicapped artist and persons get together with non-handicapped artists.

Creahm group from Liege/Belgium, Semaver Kumpanya from Istanbul, Danza Mobile from Seville/Spain, and as the general coordinator of the project Theatre du Cristal from France will gather handicapped artist and persons get together with non-handicapped artists from different countries and from disciplines, and establish a ground for these people to produce art altogether within the scope of this project. Subsequently four different festivals in four different cities will feature the outcomes of those joint productions where workshops and panels will be held as well.

Beside Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, the festival is supported by the European Commission Culture Program, Istanbul French Cultural Center, the IZEV Foundation and the ENKA Foundation.

Festival Venues
Kocamustafapaşa Çevre Theatre where the Semaver Kumpanya has been staging its plays for eight years, is the main venue for the festival. Additionally the festival events will take place at Istanbul French Cultural Center, IZEV Foundations facilities, ENKA İbrahim Betil Auditorium, Üsküdar Tekel Stage, Istanbul Modern and the Talimhane Theatre.

The first festival event “Anatomia Metamorphosis” exhibition will feature some of the works taking place at ABCD Galerie in the city of Montreuil in France between 11 March and 8 April.
