Conference within the Exhibition "Ten Thousand Years of Iran’s Civilization and Two Thousand Years of Common Heritage" |
Organized within the context of the 50th anniversary of the Turkey-Iranian cultural agreement; this exhibition has been arranged as an event of “Turkey-Iran Culture Year” to help conceive the Iranian civilization as a whole. The exhibition featuring artifacts from Topkapi Palace Museum and National Museum of Iran as well as collections from Istanbul Archeology Museum, Sadberk Hanim Museum and the Military Museum of Istanbul; is opening the traces of the two civilizations into discussion.

Promotion of the Books "Ottoman Headgears" and "Minaret Ridges Art of Scribing in the Sky” |
The Book of Ottoman Headgears (Osmanlı Serpuşları) by H. Necdet İşli is the first comprehensive work in the area and also a reading recommend on Ottoman social structure with aspects to headgear figures in Ottoman tombstones. The Book of Minarets Ridges is a comprehensive collection of texts and visual content aiming at demonstrating the art of minarets ridge (mahya) with a history of 400 years to ornament the city especially during Ramadan, religious holidays and other national memorial days.

Planning for Culture or Cultural Planning: Mapping of Culture and Creative Industries - Seminar |
The first of seminars to be realized in 2010 under the project "Inventory of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Economy in Istanbul” hosts Prof. Graeme Evans the Director of the Cities Institute in London Metropolitan University and Dr. Joanne Ford from City University of London who will share their approaches and experiences in cultural planning and mapping with examples from various cities.

“In Between-Arada-Tra” offers the outputs of the workshop held by Antoni Muntadas in Istanbul in July 2009 together with the artworks produced during the workshops of his students in Cambridge (USA) and Venice (Italy) realized in Istanbul with the support of their universities, respectively the Visual Arts Program, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Graduate Programme in Visual Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design, Università Iuav di Venezia.
