Capital partner to the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, Turkish Airlines (THY) flies around the world by 116 aircrafts with the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture logo on them. The 70 cm. logo placed just next to the Turkish flag will play an important role for the promotion of Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture all along 2010.
As Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency keeps on promoting Istanbul at full speed, both in inland and abroad; the partnership of the Agency with Turkish Airlines flies the European Capital of Culture high up in the sky. 116 aircrafts of Turkish Airlines will be carrying the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture logo along the year 2010.
Placed just on the right side of traveler entrances into the planes, the logos will remind of Istanbul’s title of “European Capital of Culture” to hundreds of Turkish and foreign passengers when getting on board.
Within the context of furnishing 116 aircrafts with the logo, a total of 1.125 logo labels were produced in case they might get worn out or need renewal. The campaign will include all aircrafts pertaining to Turkish Airlines, even the ones joining in the fleet in 2010.
In 67 years of history, Turkish Airlines carried a promotion logo firstly in 1998 for the 75th anniversary of the Republic, and secondly in 2008 as a support to Izmir’s candidacy for Expo 2015.
