The Art of Harp Association realized a Tribute Night for the memory of dear trainer and harpist Ceren Necipoğlu whom we lost in a plane crash in Brazil/Atlantic Ocean last June.

During the Tribute Night held on Monday, 18 January at 19:30 in Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, an album Ceren Necipoğlu –“Like a Book” prepared with contributions from Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, İ. Kültür Co., Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall under the sponsorship of Yapı Kredi Bank and Kalan Müzik Inc., was introduced along with a documentary film about Ceren Necipoğlu.

During this very special evening which was also the birthday of Ceren Necipoğlu; the founder of the Art of Harp Association and harpist Şirin Pancaroğlu, her colleagues and students will play her repertory of the Rio de Janeiro concert in Brazil and within this context the album Ceren Necipoğlu –“Like a Book” of 2 CDs was promoted.

Revenues of the night and of the album will be transferred to the Art of Harp Association in order to be used for different harp education projects in the name of Ceren Necipoğlu.
