Istanbul’s varying identities encompassing centuries, its living culture, its polyphony, and human harmony will be rendered accessible to large masses within the country and abroad by breaking conventional prejudices and stereotyped patterns in due course.

40 Districts 40 Books by 40 Authors: ‘My Istanbul’ series at Tüyap 2009… 40 authors who were born and/or live/d in Istanbul wrote their own feelings, thoughts and memories in their own style about 40 districts of Istanbul for this project, which originated from the idea that every district has a different story, a different identity and a different spirit.

A compilation of oral literature: Istanbul Tales meets readers... Istanbul tales unpublished to date which have been found in Mehmet Halit Bayri’s archive are now meeting readers.

A Season for Literature A literature festival is being held in cooperation with Istanbul 2010 ECOC Agency and the Writers Union of Turkey Istanbul Branch.

Our Social and Cultural History Revealed: Qadi Registers of Istanbul Courts Getting Published... In collaboration with the Research Center on Islam (TDV ISAM), Istanbul 2010 ECOC Agency is preparing to expose our records of social history. The Qadi Registers that have been waiting on dusty shelves of libraries for centuries now finally come to light.

II. International Poetry Festival As the "capital of poetry" for hundreds of years, Istanbul has finally caught up with one of its remaining shortages as a world city by organizing the International Poetry Festival.

Literary Map of Istanbul The project aims to create an inventory of literary personages who have lived in Istanbul. The areas where these literary personages were born, raised or passed away in Istanbul will be determined, and signs and billboards providing information on authors and poets will be placed in these locations.

Istanbul recalls the green: The Greenery of Istanbul A book called “The Greenery of Istanbul” is going to get published for showing altogether the vineyards, gardens, orchards, promenade areas, meadows, pastures, farms, hunting grounds, parks, grooves, rural regions, forests, arboretums, ancient trees, green areas such as cemeteries in Istanbul. Detecting the green areas which once colored the city but are now partly lost and telling about their changes throughout history until today...

The World of Selim the Third is revealed by a visual expression of history Three Ottoman Sultans who took the first steps towards the modernization of Istanbul: Selim the Third, Mahmut the Second and Abdülhamid the Second.

101 Things You Must Do in Istanbul Before You Die The book titled ‘İstanbul’da Ölmeden Yapmanız Gereken 101 Şey' (101 Things You Must Do in Istanbul Before You Die) compiles the venues.
